How to Install Plugins on Your Minecraft Server

Requirements

You need a server running Paper, Spigot, or Bukkit. CraftNodes servers use Paper by default, which supports all plugins from these platforms.

Method 1: Pterodactyl File Manager

1. Log into your CraftNodes Pterodactyl panel
2. Navigate to File Manager
3. Open the plugins folder
4. Click Upload and select your plugin JAR file
5. Restart your server

Method 2: SFTP

Connect to your server using an SFTP client like FileZilla or WinSCP. Use the SFTP credentials from your Pterodactyl panel settings page. Navigate to the plugins folder and drag your JAR file in.

• Hangar — Paper's official plugin platform
• Modrinth — Growing plugin and mod platform
• Bukkit.org — Classic plugin source (some outdated)

After Installing

Always restart your server fully after adding plugins. Doing /reload can cause memory leaks and plugin conflicts. Your CraftNodes panel makes restarting easy with the Power button.
