How to Migrate Your Minecraft Server to CraftNodes

Step-by-step guide to migrating your existing Minecraft server to CraftNodes. Transfer world files, plugins, and configurations without losing player data.

What You Need

Before starting, download a full backup of your current server including the world folder, plugins folder, and all configuration files. Most control panels have an export or download option.

Step 1: Create Your CraftNodes Server

Order a plan on CraftNodes that matches or exceeds your current server's resources. Your server will be ready in under 60 seconds.

Step 2: Stop Your Old Server

Stop the old server and create a fresh backup to ensure all data is saved correctly before the move.

Step 3: Upload Files via SFTP

Connect to your new CraftNodes server using SFTP credentials from the Pterodactyl panel. Upload your world folder, plugins folder, and configuration files. This may take some time depending on world size.

Step 4: Verify and Start

Check that all files are in place, verify plugin configs are correct for the new environment, and start the server. Check the console for any errors.

Step 5: Update DNS or Share New IP

Share your new CraftNodes IP with your players. If you use a custom domain, update the DNS SRV record to point to your new server.
