What Is Skyblock?
Skyblock is a Minecraft game mode where players start on a tiny island floating in the void and must expand using limited resources. It is one of the most popular server game modes ever created.
Recommended RAM
A Skyblock server for 10-20 players runs well on 4GB RAM. For larger communities, use 6-8GB. The Stone or Iron CraftNodes plan is ideal for most Skyblock setups.
Essential Skyblock Plugins
- FabledSkyBlock — Full-featured, free Skyblock plugin
- IridiumSkyblock — Feature-rich Skyblock with missions and upgrades
- BentoBox — Modular Skyblock framework (supports multiple modes)
Setup Steps
- Install Paper on your CraftNodes server
- Download your chosen Skyblock plugin
- Upload it to the plugins folder via the Pterodactyl file manager
- Restart the server — it will generate the Skyblock world automatically
- Configure island settings, challenges, and shop via the plugin config files
Performance Tips for Skyblock
Skyblock servers generate many small worlds. Set aggressive entity limits to prevent island farms from lagging the server. Use a pre-generation plugin to pre-generate the void world.
